PRAISE BE TO ALLAH:
Brother the verse you quoting form John Ch 14 Verse 7-8 " I am the way, truth and life. No one come to God except through me"
Means what. At the time of Ibrahim "Ibrahim is the way, truth and life. No one come to God except through him"
At the time of Moses "Moses the way, truth and life. No one come to God except through Him"
At the time of Jesus "Jesus the way, truth and life. No one come to God except through Him"
(pbuh) All.
Now At the time of Mohammed(pbuh). "Mohammed(pbuh) the way, truth and life. No one come to God except through Him"
Jesus Said in The Bible Ch 16 Verse 12-14 "When he will come He(Mohammed(pbuh) will guide you unto to the truth"
Now we have to Follow the Qur'an and Hadith.
Allah knows the best!!

Jesus said not like that I am the one way among the all Prophet or in my time but He said I am the Truth the way and Life ---Only I am not any ..Quran tech us God is only way and the Light its mens Jesus is way and Life
